If your photo or passport number are different from those in your profile, you will not be able to sit any of the test modules unless you bring the new documents to our Tehran office when you come for your speaking test or on test day, whichever is first. This includes candidates who applied for a new passport after reserving their test.
REMEMBER: your photo must NOT be the same as the one in your passport.
When you bring the documents, we will amend the data and/or scan your new photo onto the IELTS global database. There is an administration fee of 5,000 tomans for this service.
After test day, candidates are responsible for keeping their own profile (IELTS local database) up to date in case of future test reservations.
The speaking test lasts 11- 14 minutes and takes place during the 7 day period either side of the written test date. All speaking tests are held at our Tehran office in the form of a one-to-one interview with a certified examiner and will be recorded.

Please bring all of the following documents with you when you come for your interview. You will not be permitted to sit the test if you do not do so.
- A fully completed application form with the same signature as that on your passport. Click here to download
- Your passport (with at least 6 months' validity)
- Copy of your passport (photo and signature pages)
- 1 x colour passport size photo, no older than 6 months (the same one you uploaded onto your profile and NOT the same one which is in your passport)
- Copies of any previous TRFs (from any centre worldwide)
- Your bank receipt
If your interview takes place after test day, please bring all the above documents with you to the test venue instead. If your passport or photo are different from the ones in your profile, you must come to our Tehran office BEFORE test day to show the new documents and remit the administration fee(s) - see above for details.
Candidates will be able to access their individual interview time on the date specified in the speaking timetable column on our timetable page by entering their passport number and family name below. Do not try to do this too soon.
Please note that no amendments can be made to the times given, and candidates who fail to turn up will not be offered another timeslot. Candidates should arrive at our Tehran office 10 minutes before the time stated.
